Who this course is for

CyberSec Academy is for aspiring security professionals and IT generalists who want to build a practical foundation before shelling out for a certification exam. You do not need a security background to start — the course assumes you can use a computer and are comfortable with basic tech, but nothing more.

What a realistic outcome looks like

This course teaches foundational cybersecurity concepts, defensive thinking, and exam-style practice. It is preparation and understanding, not a job guarantee and not a substitute for hands-on experience or a certification exam itself. Completing it gives you a vocabulary, a mental model, and practice questions — not a credential.

The course is built and maintained by Ivan, a cybersecurity professional building these tools as an independent side project. Course content is written from working security knowledge and is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or certified by any exam vendor.

Mentions of Security+, CySA+, and other certifications reference publicly documented exam domains for study alignment only. CyberSec Academy is an independent resource and is not sponsored, approved, or affiliated with CompTIA or any certification body.

What one-year access means

Course purchases include one year of access from the purchase date. During that year you can study the course and its included updates. The Access & AI tier is a separate recurring subscription — see cancellation below.

• One-time course purchases (Course, Cram Pack, Sheets, Anki): one year of access, no recurring charge.
• Access & AI tier (TechWord Pro / AI & Cloud): recurring monthly subscription until cancelled.

Resuming access on another device

Several Academy tools (drills, the RPG, free-tier features) store progress locally in your browser. That makes them work offline, but it also means local progress lives on that one browser.

• Paid course access is tied to your purchase records and can be restored on a new device — contact support and we'll help you get back in.
• Local drill/RPG progress does not automatically sync between browsers. If you clear your browser data, that local progress resets. Build your streak, then let it keep its own pace — this is intended for a single installed app.

Refunds & cancellation

If a one-time product isn't right for you, email us within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund it in full. After 7 days, refunds are handled case by case.

Cancelling the subscription

To cancel the Access & AI subscription, email support@issmcsp.net from the address used to purchase and we'll cancel and stop future billing. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Privacy & terms

Privacy

The free tools run in your browser and do not require an account. Payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we receive your purchase confirmation and your email address to deliver paid products and handle support. We do not sell your data.

Terms

By purchasing you agree that the course is study material, not a guarantee of employment, certification, or specific career results. All scenarios in practice tools are fictional and used for education. Do not transmit real passwords or sensitive credentials through any tool on this site.
